Inexpensive Nature Collage

Crafts are fun, educational and usually very inexpensive. There are tons of crafts we can do with our children that require little to no money at all. A Nature Collage is a super easy craft idea that will leave your kids and you having fun without breaking the bank.
Take a trip outside and gather up all kinds of items to create a collage on a piece of cardboard from a box you have lying around. I’ve done this with my son from age 3, but you could try with younger children if they show interest. The trick for me is not to expect him to do the “right” collage I have in mind. Just let you child cut and glue what he wants where he wants –oh, no my floor! This works great in the backyard or a covered floor. Here are a few items to get you started on your trek to the great outdoors:
・Leaves of all shapes and sizes
・Flowers
・Rocks
・Pinecones
・Feathers
・Dirt/Soil
For rounded items you can provide tape or attach them to the cardboard using threads and small boxes.
Note for small kids: Younger children might not be interested in making the collage but they will most probably enjoy collecting the items in the outdoors. Do just what fits your child’s interest and have fun.
